Me too, even though I am surrounded by bitterly disappointed Republicans. (I am going to have to step carefully at church today.) Wish I was there to give you a big victory hug!

It made me cry this morning too and I'm not pregnant or American.

Pretty incredible isn't it?

Country Chick

Have you noticed that your last TWO posts are about doing lots and lots of crying - the great thing is the crying is for GOOD things! Hurrah!

If I were able to stay awake that late (crippling fatigue seems to be here to stay) I would have cried too. In fact, husband has taped the speeches for me and declared that I should watch them with a new box of tissues nearby...

So understand what you are feeling. Big blubbery mess yesterday also. Hopefully good things will come for the US now.

I was wondering what it would have been like to find out that Obama won while we were still in the UK (probably the same as when we're living in Baltimore!). Thrilling either way, though, no?

I actually felt a tiny bit of the hope that I was witnessing on the TV the night of the election, and I am a tough nut to crack these days. For what it's worth, I cry a lot too, I think it's good for you. At least that's what I tell myself.
